Accessibility Statement
Kasata Films is committed to making kasatafilms.com accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. The site is built to comply with Israeli accessibility regulations (Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Act, 2013), Israeli Standard 5568 at Level AA, which aligns with the WCAG 2.0 guidelines published by the W3C.
1. Conformance Level
This website conforms to Israeli Standard 5568 Level AA, equivalent to WCAG 2.0 Level AA. Conformance covers full keyboard navigation, sufficient color contrast, screen reader support, and semantically correct markup.
2. On-Site Accessibility Widget
An accessibility button sits in the corner of every page. It opens a panel with personalization controls:
- Increase, decrease, or reset text size
- High-contrast color mode
- Highlight all links
- Switch to a more readable system font
- Pause animations and motion effects
- Remove blur and backdrop effects
- Reset all preferences
All preferences are stored locally in your browser and persist between pages and visits.
3. Additional Accessibility Measures
- Full keyboard navigation (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Escape)
- Skip-to-content link at the top of every page
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks and ARIA labels
- Screen reader support (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Alt text on meaningful images
- Minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text
- Respect for the `prefers-reduced-motion` system preference
- Full RTL/LTR direction support
- Form fields with clear labels and validation messages
4. Known Limitations
We are actively working to make every part of the site fully accessible. The following areas still need work:
- Video content: Some older portfolio videos do not yet have closed captions. All new content from 2026 onward will ship with Hebrew and English captions.
- Audio description: Most videos do not include audio description. Contact us if you need a verbal description of any specific piece.
- Third-party embeds: Embedded content from YouTube, Vimeo, or Instagram depends on the accessibility of those services.
- PDF downloads: Some downloadable documents may not be fully tagged. We can supply an accessible version on request.
